ICP

Infantile cerebral paresis

Infantile cerebral paresis is an orthopaedic disorder caused by brain damage in infancy:

the child usually suffers from restricted movement and later from malpositioning of the bones and joints. Without sufficient therapy, the child therefore does not reach motor-sensory milestones which correspond to their development stage or only with a delay.

We help these children in our children's orthopaedic surgery hours: The movement disorders are recorded in a comprehensive diagnosis. Then we develop a therapy plan together with the parents.

For the treatment of ICP patients, we use an interdisciplinary concept: In addition to paediatric orthopaedic surgeons and neurologists, physiotherapists, speech therapists and social educationalists are also involved.

For the treatment of ICP, experts from several disciplines work together.
