Clinic for Orthopaedics and Accident Surgery: Knee Department

Our surgeons work closely with the Research Department at the Waldkrankenhaus Eisenberg.

Patients thus benefit from innovative treatment and operation methods such as digital gait pattern analysis and the computer-aided navigation system.

Overview of specialist services:
Digital gait analysis

Digital gait analysis allows doctors to exactly record the movements of people. In contrast to subjective gait analyses, where doctors or physiotherapists observe the patient, the computer-aided version provides exact, three-dimensional data – also of movement functions such as muscle contraction or muscle coordination, which cannot be observed with the naked eye or only to a limited extent.

Navigation system

Artificial joints must exactly match the individual anatomy of a person: This is the only way that patients can enjoy optimum mobility and long-term load capacity. For this reason, the orthopaedic surgeons at the Waldkrankenhaus Eisenberg use a navigation system for operations in various cases.
