Radiology

The team of the Radiology Department treats patients from the in-patient departments, clinical out-patients departments and out-patients from the district.

The Radiology Department has a computer tomograph, a digital fluoroscope, two digital x-ray workplaces and an ultrasound workplace.

A modern radiology information system and a digital image archive (PACS) enable fast access to all stored findings and image documents, also from more than one location simultaneously.

Due to the large number of orthopaedic/accident surgery patients, our range of services many consists of x-ray images of the skeletal system partly with recording techniques developed in our clinic, for example for patients with knee endoprosthetics.

We carry out contrast medium image examinations of the gastro-intestinal tract, kidneys and venous vascular system. Contrast images of the spinal canal and joints complete the range of invasive examinations. In 2011, 55,180 radiological examinations were carried out by the 10 employees of the department.
